Yeo Hiap Seng Limited (Yeo’s), a company that has been manufacturing plant-based beverages for more than a century, and Oatly, the world’s original and largest oat drink company, today announced the opening celebration of their Singapore oat milk facility, including the participation of its Guest-of-Honour Alvin Tan, Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry. He was accompanied in his tour of the facility by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Economic Development Board. The facility officially opened in July and today’s highly anticipated event was previously delayed due to COVID. The production facility at Yeo’s Senoko Way factory is Oatly’s first outside Europe and North America.

Yeo’s Group Chief Executive Officer Samuel Koh said: “This is truly a delightful day for all of us at Yeo’s and Oatly. I am grateful to the project team for enabling this rollout despite challenges posed by COVID lock-downs.

“This new facility demonstrates Yeo’s ability to meet the stringent food standards and regulations in our manufacturing process. Following the successful rollout, Yeo’s looks forward to supporting Oatly’s long-term growth in the region.”
