HIP Live! By Halal Development Corporation Enters Into Strategic Media Partnership With Food Matters Malaysia
“HIP! Live powered by HDC” and Food Matters Malaysia have entered into a strategic media partnership to cross promote and provide coverage on both platforms for the halal industry.
HIP! Live is the flagship of Halal Integrated Platform, a digital media arm that promotes ideas, insights, products and services in the Halal and SME sphere, with the aim to create greater awareness creation and practical application to grow the industry and take it to the next level.
Its talk show is scheduled weekly via Facebook livestream and topics covered to date included business digitalisation, Halal Assurance Management System (HAS), Islamic ritual cleansing as well as introduction of new halal product solutions.
Halal Integrated Platform (HIP) – a virtual networking platform set up in September 2021 for industry stakeholders to participate effectively in the Halal ecosystem – is one of the core service verticals of Halal Development Corporation (HDC).
HDC spearheads the development of Malaysia’s integrated and comprehensive halal ecosystem and infrastructure to position Malaysia as the most competitive country, leading the global halal industry. An agency under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), it is the world’s first Government-backed halal industry development corporation.
Mohammad Hafiz Jamaluddin, Head of Halal Integrated Platform (HIP) highlighted that “Halal is a value proposition that cuts across various industries. Hence, we would like to tap into the network of Food Matters Malaysia to promote this value proposition across the Halal value chain particularly the upstream food businesses”.
Food Matters Malaysia was established in August 2021 to fill a gap in the market needing a platform to have industry coverage on the upstream segment of the food business. This includes food production, funding, agrifood and food technology. Among the hot topics featured are plant based meat, cultured meat and fermentation processes.
“We are excited with this media partnership with HDC as we can now dedicate a halal pillar in our news coverage. We hope to contribute to strengthen Malaysia’s leading role in the global halal ecosystem“, said Iskandar Shahril, Head for International Business Development, Seamless Strategies, publisher of Food Matters Malaysia.
HIP! Live is hosted by Rusyilda Ismail every Thursday from 3 to 4pm on Facebook. HIP membership registration is free for all businesses globally. Visit Food Matters Malaysia for more news.
